Approach and scope

The Editorial Tecnocientífica Americana (Etecam) publishes books generated from research results in the different branches of science. Its main mission is to promote, encourage, disseminate and commercialize the results of scientific research and methodological work.

It publishes books in Spanish, Portuguese and English, derived from scientific research referring to analyses or controversies on contemporary theories, social facts, current debates and case studies that enrich and offer a new theoretical perspective to the various disciplines, particularly in the field of Social Sciences, Art and Humanities, Natural and Exact Sciences. It integrates a community of researchers with interests in such profiles and develops spaces for collaboration in the field of knowledge management for the development of society through the socialization of scientific results.

 It is aimed at researchers and teachers from the scientific community interested in the publishing house's subject matter. Its Scientific Committee is made up of renowned external researchers, and makes a careful selection of books through the double-blind arbitration system.

The opinion process of the nominated books will take an average of 12 weeks between the date of reception and their possible publication.

Our publisher does not charge for processing or shipping books; in other words, receiving, judging and publishing have no cost to the authors.

Our aim is to achieve a high level of scientific quality, without compromising clarity of presentation, in order to enhance communication between the different lines of specialization existing within the Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Natural and Exact Sciences and thus facilitate dialogue and understanding. This quality is guaranteed by:

- A Scientific Committee composed of renowned national and international researchers.

- A careful selection of books. For this selection, we ask publishers, evaluators, readers and authors to pay special attention to the clarity of presentation in the communication of the results of the works and to strictly follow the publication criteria attached.

-For this selection, we ask the editors, evaluators and authors to pay special attention to the relationship among:

  • The title and the problem, the objective and content, the abstract.
  • The structure and length of the book
  • The relevance of the problem being researched.
  • The depth of the analysis of the research problem.
  • The scientific position and novelty.
  • The validity of the conclusions and the bibliographic establishment and the current situation.
